[ARCHIVED] Public Hearings on Zoning Amendments

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN AND TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 the Seward County/City of Kismet Planning Commission will hold two (2) public hearings at the Seward County Administration Building, 515 N. Washington, Suite 200, Commission Chambers, Liberal, Kansas, at 5:45 P.M., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, to consider amendments to the Seward County/City of Kismet Zoning Regulations.
The following are proposed to be amended:
1.) Article 29-104 Special Exceptions and Article 30-111 Administrative Permit.
Changes would allow Planning & Zoning Staff to administratively issue permits for the replacement of a non-conforming mobile home or manufactured home with a different home and remove the requirement for a public hearing for this improvement.

2.) Article 27-104(3) Conditional Uses Enumerated.
Proposed change is to delete “electric transmission lines” from the utility appurtenances that require a Conditional Use permit.

The full text of the proposed amendments is available for review in the Planning & Zoning office during normal business hours. It is also available on the Seward County website at http://sewardcountyks.org/DocumentCenter/View/1559

As provided in the Seward County Zoning Regulations, the above amendments will be discussed and considered by the Seward County/City of Kismet Planning Commission. All persons interested in said matter will be heard at this time concerning their views and wishes. Written comments may be submitted by those interested but unable to attend the hearing. All comments, views and concerns presented at the hearing will be considered by the Planning Commission. Following the public hearing, the Planning Commission will recommend the amendments, with any revisions or changes as determined at the Public Hearing, to the Board of County Commissions for their consideration and approval or the Planning Commission may continue this matter to a later date without additional notice.
