Mission Statement

Seward County Cimarron Basin Community Corrections serves an important role in keeping our community safe. As Leaders in the rehabilitation of adult offenders, we strive to prevent the recurrence of crime among adult offenders by supervising and connecting with them utilizing innovative approaches to change problematic behaviors and thinking processes. We provide a viable and cost-effective alternative to incarceration for offenders while enhancing their personal growth while working in partnerships with the Courts, Law Enforcement and the Kansas Department of Corrections.


Vision and Purpose

Seward County Cimarron Basin Community Corrections is dedicated to providing justice and safety in our community through:
  • Providing a safe, stable and vibrant path to personal improvement among offenders working in collaboration with community leaders, service providers, and the public while holding them accountable for their actions.
  • Valuing and engaging our employees to teach, coach and motivate offenders to learn to make positive changes in their lives. We conduct all of our duties and responsibilities with the highest degree of integrity, expectations for excellence and respect for the value and dignity of human life.
  • We ensure sound management using proven fiscal practices and outcome-oriented strategies to provide humane and supervision care, rehabilitative opportunities and reentry assistance for offenders under our supervision.
